The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, signed a resolution on the transfer of state ownership of the Cargill plant, a branch of the American corporation Cargill Inc. Document published on the site of the head of the republic.
The decision was made in connection with the “strategic importance of the formation and development of production” in the DPR. The Decree terminates all obligations under contracts concluded by the legal entity before October 16, 2015 in respect of property located in Donetsk.
“To convert the property specified in paragraph 1 of this resolution, including movable and immovable property, inventory and other tangible and intangible assets to the state ownership of the Donetsk People’s Republic without compensation to the owner of the cost of such property,” the document says.
Donetsk Technologies, a state corporation for the development and implementation of modern technologies, has been appointed as the temporary administration of Cargill, and the rights of economic management have been assigned to it.
TASS earlier informedthat the American company Cargill suspended investments in Russia after the start of the special operation. The company’s enterprises in the Tula, Voronezh, Rostov and Moscow regions continue to operate.
