In the Czech Republic will rise in price of beer due to rising energy prices

High energy prices could drive up beer prices in the Czech Republic, Piotr Dvořák, director of the Budweiser Budvar brewing company, told CNN Prima News. According to him, the cost of a half-liter mug of beer can reach 70 crowns (about $3, about 184 rubles).
“Older people remember beer for 10 crowns (about $0.4) a mug. They could not imagine that it would cost 50 crowns (about $2.1). It is highly plausible that due to high electricity prices, beer will cost 70 crowns (about $3) in the near future, but hopefully not yet next year,” said Mr. Dvořák (quoted by RIA Novosti).
Petr Dvořák noted that Czech restaurants had fewer visitors because food prices in catering establishments are too high. “It seems that in the future we will drink more beer at home, although this is not right, because restaurants are a real social network where people openly discuss their worries and problems,” he added.
Formerly Mr. Dvorak told about the intention of Budweiser Budvar to return to the Russian market. Currently, the company cannot maintain commercial relations with Russia, supply products and make payments in dollars and euros.
On April 22, Belgian brewer AB InBev, which owned the Budweiser brand, announced about leaving the Russian market. The company’s assets were acquired by the Turkish Anadolu Efes, a partner of the largest brewing company in Russia – AB InBev Efes.
