The booking rate of accommodation facilities in Crimea reached 52% in July, Vadim Volchenko, Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the region, said.

The official noted that this season, tourists prefer to book rooms one to two weeks before arrival and pay for them after arriving at the hotel. At the same time, the ministry attributed the increase in bookings to an increase in the number of autotourists.

Volchenko added that the authorities urged the hotels to treat with understanding the autotourists who arrived late due to traffic jams in front of the Crimean bridge, ensuring check-ins without surcharges and cancellations.

Earlier in May, Ilya Umansky, President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT), reported that hotels in Crimea for the summer were booked by 20-30% compared to 30-40% in May last year, and the occupancy of mini-hotels and hostels decreased by 20 percentage points. p., up to 30%.
