In “Tasty – and the point” announced the construction of a toy factory for the analogue of “Happy Meal”

The Vkusno-i Tochka chain of fast food restaurants plans to build its own toy factory for the Kids Combo children’s set, which has become an analogue of the Happy Meal of McDonald’s that left Russia. About it in an interview RBC declared owner of “Tasty – and that’s it” Alexander Govor.

“I have in the program [пункт] open your own – maybe with some partners – a factory that will fully manufacture toys for us, ”he said. Govor believes that this can happen in two years. He also noted that he had already found potential partners for this and reached agreements with them. But Govor did not specify who exactly he was talking about.

According to him, the toys in the Kids Combo sets may appear in July or August 2023. At the same time, the toys will be partially supplied from China, and partially produced in Russia. There are no production facilities that can cover all demand in Russia yet. The general director of the network, Oleg Paroev, previously reported that about 2 million toys per month are needed for children’s sets.

The plans of Vkusno — and that’s it to launch an analogue of Happy Meal became known back in August 2022. Then, in the Rospatent database appeared company’s applications for the registration of a new name for children’s sets with a toy. In particular, Vkusno-i Dot decided to register the Kids Combo brand, which belongs to the categories of toys, food and carbonated drinks.

The analogue of “Happy Mila” was launched in December 2022. It included nuggets, burgers, lettuce, carrot sticks, cheese snacks, apple wedges and soft drinks. Instead of a traditional toy, the set included a book with puzzles and mazes. The company noted that the tasks in them contribute to the development of memory and logic of the child. The collection consists of 14 books in total.

Against the backdrop of the start of a special operation in Ukraine, McDonald’s closed its restaurants in Russia on March 14, and on May 16 announced its final withdrawal from the country. As a result, the Russian business of McDonald’s was sold to the local licensee Alexander Govor. The company reserved the opportunity to buy back the business within 15 years, Govor said in an interview with Vedomosti. Opening restaurants under the new sign was held on June 12.
