The forced reorientation of logistics chains to the east and the rise in prices for rail container transportation across Russia have led to an increase in the cost of raw materials for vegetarian products. This follows from the September review of the cargo carrier PEK (Vedomosti has it). The conclusions are based on data from the Union of Producers of Plant-Based Products (SPPRO), Volko Molko, Greenways, Ne Meat and Dentro trucking companies, a PEK representative explained to Vedomosti.

According to the review, in August 2021, the price of transporting a standard 40-foot container (FEU) from the ports of Vladivostok to Moscow was 153,000 rubles, in August this year – 235,000 rubles. Growth of more than 70% was confirmed to Vedomosti by other logistics and transport companies.
