In Russia, sales of low-alcohol drinks grew by 53% in 11 months

For 11 months of 2022, sales of low-alcohol drinks increased by 53%, to 13.6 million deciliters (dal). Sales of vodka over the same period increased by 6%, to 68.8 million decalitres. This was reported Interfax with reference to the press service of Rosalkogolregulirovanie.
According to their estimates, sales of champagne and sparkling wines increased by 8.5%, to 14.9 million decaliters, grape wines – 0.6%, to 48.2 million decaliters. Sales of liqueur wines increased by 2.5 times, amounting to 655.2 thousand decalitres. Sales of fruit wines decreased by 18.2% to 9.3 million decaliters.
Cognac sales volumes amounted to 11.1 million decalitres, 4.5% more than in the same period last year, other alcoholic beverages – 10.2 million decalitres, 27.5% more.
November at the Ministry of Finance reported about plans to establish minimum retail prices for alcoholic products, including still wine and beer. Izvestia reported that the minimum retail price for still wines could be less than 239 rubles.
