The British cosmetic brand Lush, which left Russia, will be replaced by stores of the new cosmetic chain Oomph. It is launched by Dmitry Azarov, co-owner of the Russian division of Lush Cosmetics, writes RBC referring to the entrepreneur.

According to Azarov, seven Oomph stores will open in December on the site of former Lush outlets in Moscow. It is noted that the concept of the former flagship store of the British brand on Tverskaya will also change. In particular, it will have a cafe with a large selection of pastries. The menu for him will be chef restaurateur Glenn Ballis. Together with Azarov, they are also developing the Sangre Fresca restaurant.

The operational management of the new brand will be handled by List, which was established in August. Azarov estimated investments in the new project at 100 million rubles, he uses his own funds.

The businessman said that at first, about a hundred cosmetic products will be produced under the new brand, including shampoos, shower gels, soaps and candles. In addition, Azarov shared, the company plans to develop a special line for the bath.

About the entrepreneur’s plans to launch a new brand at the end of September wrote “Kommersant”. The newspaper drew attention to the data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, according to which Azarov created List LLC at the end of August.

Lush has been operating on the Russian market since 2001. In the Russian division of the brand, Dmitry Azarov owns 65% of the shares, the rest belongs to Lush Cosmetic Ltd. After the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, the company suspended the supply of products to the country, and later began to close stores throughout Russia.
