Titov also noted that, judging by the complaints, customers often unilaterally terminate the contract, while themselves doing everything to prevent it from being fulfilled. The Ombudsman drew the attention of the Prosecutor General’s Office to this trend, noting that “it is necessary to check the arguments of both sides.”
Another 17% of complaints are related to the imperfection of legislation and proposals to change it. The Ombudsman’s Office highlighted, in particular, the issues of registration of advertisements. In addition, 13% of complaints are related to land and property relations, 7% – to tax audits or actions of tax officials, 6% – to court decisions. 22% of requests concern a variety of issues related to the actions of government authorities or natural monopolies.
Earlier it became known that the volume of receivables of federal authorities (i.e., funds that should go to the budget or the result that should come in exchange for money spent) increased for the first half of the year by 41% (5.7 trillion rubles) and reached 19.4 trillion rubles.
