The property of Gazprom’s subsidiary in Austria, Gazprom Austria GmbH, was put up for auction. This follows from the information published on the local marketplace aurena.at.
Mostly office equipment and furniture were put up for auction. In total, 240 objects were sent to the auction, including paintings, carpets, a map of European pipelines and other property.
In April, the local newspaper Kurier informedthat Gazprom Austria GmbH applied to the court for the restructuring of liabilities, which are estimated at 31.4 million euros. The newspaper clarifies that this happened due to the fact that the German Uniper Global Commodities SE achieved an arrest in relation to the obligations of Gazprom Austria GmbH to its parent company OOO “Gazprom export”, which, due to the lack of payments, stopped gas supplies.
