In 2022, Rosatom’s exports will exceed $10 billion

In 2022, the volume of supplies of Rosatom abroad will exceed $10 billion rubles. About it informed General Director of the state corporation Alexei Likhachev in an interview with Izvestia.

“Foreign revenue is growing year by year. This year we will overcome a psychologically important barrier in the supply of our products abroad in the amount of $10 billion,” he predicted.

Likhachev said that in this way exports will increase by 15% compared to the previous year. According to him, “this is not the limit.” The head of Rosatom explained that in a number of countries, including China, Turkey, Egypt, Hungary, the company is building 23 nuclear power units. We are also talking about existing contracts, supplies of fuel, enriched uranium products, conversion services, he noted.

He added that even under the sanctions, Rosatom’s portfolio of foreign orders for ten years ahead “stably keeps at the level of $200 billion.”

In 2021, the state corporation’s export revenue amounted to $ 8.9 billion, an increase of 20.3% compared to 2020. The total revenue of Rosatom also increased by 14.2% – up to 1.45 trillion rubles. According to the results of the first quarter of 2022, Likhachev, during his speech in the Federation Council, reported an increase in revenue from foreign supplies by 13%.

After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, Western countries did not begin to impose sanctions against Rosatom. However, back in 2020, structures of the state corporation A.P. Aleksandrov and the All-Russian Research Institute of Automation named after N.L. Dukhov. These enterprises cannot purchase a number of goods and technologies from the United States.
