iFly cancels flights to Egypt until December 19

iFly airline has announced that it will cancel flights to Egypt until at least December 19. The resumption of flights, which the day before, on December 15, was expected by more than a thousand people, is planned from December 20. At the same time, the carrier is considering options for returning its passengers from Egypt to Russia.
“At the moment, the airline is looking for options for the export of passengers located in Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh, and is also making every effort and continues to work on coordinating the necessary documents with the FATF (Rosaviatsiya.— ”b”) in order to continue the flight program to Egypt from December 20, ”said “RIA News” in the press office of the company.
December 15 Rosaviatsiya recommended iFly to carry its passengers on flights of other airlines due to long delays. The agency said that Syria, through whose airspace a flight to Egypt was planned, is potentially dangerous for passengers. Today, December 16, it became known that the Federal Air Transport Agency is not allowed airlines to fly through Syria, despite a corresponding request from Russian carriers. Approximately 620 passengers on delayed iFly flights placed in Moscow hotels.
