INTERVIEW – The host comments on the new version of her daily program on M6
Cristina Cordula moves from city to city, this season, in ” Shopping Queens “. After Marseille, it is in Bordeaux that she arrives this Monday. Thereafter, she will go to Lyon, Strasbourg, Lille, Nantes… Every Monday, the facilitator comes in person to knock on the door of the first candidate of the week to announce the theme. During the shopping, Cristina Cordula does not fail to lavish a multitude of advice. This is followed by a one-on-one debrief and then a public parade, with the participant’s relatives, in an emblematic place in the city. In all, the star of the Six visited ten different cities for this new season.
TV MAGAZINE. – Today begins a week of competition in Bordeaux on the theme: “a flowery summer look”. What is the difficulty?
Cristina CORDULA. – You have to be careful with this print. Personally, I love it, but certain forms of clothing and certain types of floral are not modern. It can give an old-fashioned look. So you have to be careful when choosing and be aware that a print is very trompe-l’oeil. This can increase volumes.
How did the idea of these regional trips come about?
We had already thought about it in the past. You know, with “Les Reines du shopping”, we’ve been there for ten years. Each season, we reflect on what we can do again. This is also the secret of the show: if it lasts, it is because we renew ourselves. This year, going to all these cities completely changes the program. I go to the girls, I go visit the shops, we highlight the fashion of each region, there is a big parade with an audience, it takes place outside…

I was not excpecting that at all ! It warmed my heart. We had very nice discussions with the participants. I can’t wait to go again.

It was the channel and the production who suggested it because they realized that the public liked it. Then, the more I give, the more I am in my element.
Have you ever considered a primetime version of this program?
Yes, but in the end we turned around because “Les Reines du shopping” appeals to women, teenagers, children, but I’m not sure that men feel concerned by the show. However, a prime time should be addressed to all. So it’s a bit risky and we decided not to do it. Afterwards, I am very happy with the box I occupy. It’s still a daily!

Do you have plans for new shows?
Yes, but I can’t say anything at the moment. I’m very busy with my make-up line that I launched a few months ago: Magnifaïk. It takes me a lot of time. Without forgetting my makeover agency. I do not get bored.
