Finnish ice cream producers continue to actively work in Russia, despite the conflict in Ukraine, reports a local publication Yle. In particular, ice cream brands Pingviini, Ingman, Fazer, Pirkka and Lidl are still present on the Russian market.
According to the publication, ice cream under the above-mentioned brands is produced by two transnational giants operating in Russia: Unilever and Nestle with its ice cream company Froneri. The products of Finnish factories of these companies are also supplied to the Russian Federation, journalists say.
As Yle clarifies, Nestle and Unilever made it clear that they do not intend to leave the Russian market.
