Hungary plans to negotiate with Gazprom to increase supplies from September

Hungary continues negotiations with Russia on additional gas supplies and expects to reach an agreement with Gazprom from September. This was announced by the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry Peter Szijjarto. He did not provide details of the new contract.

“Whether we like it or not, we will continue negotiations with the Russians on increasing gas supplies to Hungary … In the coming days, we will finalize this with Gazprom and sign an agreement under which we could get more daily supplies,” the minister said (quote according to Reuters).
