The Hummingbird-TOUR MSK company, which was responsible for organizing holidays for children from Russia in Turkey, was fined 5 million rubles, reported Prosecutor General’s Office. An administrative offense case against the organization was initiated after 90 children were evicted from a Turkish hotel for non-payment.

Based on the results of the audit, it was found that Kolibri-TOUR MSK LLC is not a tour operator and has no legal grounds for the implementation of complex tours. Also, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the organization did not have permits for the provision of children’s recreation services. However, despite this, Kolibri-TOUR MSK remotely concluded about 90 contracts with the parents of children for the provision of services for children’s recreation abroad.

After the conclusion of the contracts, children from different regions of Russia were sent to rest in the Turkish city of Kemer, but due to unpaid services by Kolibri-TOUR MSK LLC, they were evicted from the hotel on the night of August 2. In the future, all the children returned home at the expense of their parents and with the help of the Consulate General.

Based on the results of the audit, an administrative offense case was initiated against Kolibri-TUR MSK LLC under Part 1 of Art. 14.51 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation on tourism activities). According to the results of the court session, the justice of the peace imposed a fine of 5 million rubles on Kolibri-TUR MSK LLC. The Moscow prosecutor’s office also sent a lawsuit to the court to block sites advertising similar tours for the next year.

On August 2, 90 children were forced to leave the Omorfi Garden Resort during the night a few days before the end of the trip. At the same time, the Hummingbird camp, organized by Hummingbird-TOUR MSK LLC, blamed the host for the incident. The hotel stated that the organizer of the holiday did not pay for the children’s stay at all.

The victims told Kommersant FM that after the eviction, the children spent the night in buses or on benches in the park. Tourists were settled in another hotel only a day later, but even there their stay was limited due to overbooking. As a result, the parents decided to return the children to Moscow. On August 12, it became known that all children returned from Turkey to Russia.
