Andrey Sinyavin, co-owner of the Redmond group, filed seven lawsuits with the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. He, in particular, is trying to challenge his removal from the position of the CEO of Redmond, as well as the termination of the license agreement with the Innovative Solutions company controlled by him to use the Redmond trademark. It follows from the database of arbitration courts that the retailer’s structure filed a counterclaim against the businessman’s company for 10 million rubles. Its essence is still unclear. Sinyavin did not respond to Vedomosti’s request.

A representative of Redmond confirmed that the company held an extraordinary meeting of participants back in August 2022, at which a new leader was elected: Mikhail Komissarov became him. Sinyavin, according to him, was not present at it, since he has been living abroad for several years due to the fact that in Russia he is on the federal wanted list in a tax evasion case.

The businessman was indeed put on the wanted list in 2017, it follows from media reports and the decision of the investigator for especially important cases of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee (GSU SK) for St. Petersburg (Vedomosti got acquainted with a copy of the document). The representative of the GSU SK did not respond to a request about the current status of the case against the co-owner of Redmond, citing the secrecy of the investigation. As for the termination of the license agreement with the structure of Sinyavin, then, according to a representative of Redmond, this was done in connection with numerous violations of the terms of the agreement, although he also did not specify the details in connection with the trial.
