Home Credit Bank will change its name from July 1, 2023 to Home Bank after the exit of the Czech shareholder Home Credit BV informed RBC with reference to a company representative.

“Soon, the bank will officially be called exactly what its customers have always informally called it: Home Bank. The bank retains its corporate colors, but now the name will be written in Cyrillic,” he said.

According to a representative of the bank, the first stage of rebranding will take place in July, within which the name will be changed on the website and in the bank’s mobile application. In the fourth quarter of 2023, signage in offices and ATMs will be updated. According to RBC, the rebranding should be completed on November 1.

The deal to sell a 100% stake in the Russian Home Credit & Finance Bank (HCFB) was closed in September 2022. At the same time, the Czech investment group PPF Group and its subsidiary Home Credit announced their withdrawal from Russia. At the same time, Vedomosti wrote that PPF Group was looking for a buyer for its Russian bank Home Credit back in October 2021. The decision was made at the level of the PPF group after the death of its founder Peter Kellner, who died in March 2021 when helicopter crash.

The deal turned out to be “stretched” in time. In particular, at the first stage in May 2022, a group of individual investors led by Ivan Tyryshkin, who is one of the founders and chairman of the board of directors of the St. Petersburg Exchange, bought out 50.5% of the shares. Another 49.5% was transferred to Home Creditand Finance Bank LLC in August.
