H&M stores opened in several shopping centers in Moscow

It is noted that the cost of clothing remained within the previous prices. The spring and summer collections are now available to customers. Despite the company’s concerns about the hype, the store does not see a large number of visitors, a TASS correspondent clarifies.

H&M suspended work in Russia after the start of a special operation in Ukraine. In July, the company announced that it was finally leaving the Russian market. Before that, the retailer promised to open stores and temporarily resume selling clothes.

Retail outlets were expected to reopen on August 1. However, this did not happen yesterday. The company said that the exact dates for the opening of stores in the regions and Moscow are still not known. Representatives of H&M noted that they did not resume the work of all points at the same time in order to avoid the hype.

At the end of July, Kommersant found out that H&M was looking for buyers for its business in Russia. According to the newspaper, the assets for sale include a portfolio of leasehold rights for about 170 stores in 65 Russian cities, a 57,700-square-meter distribution center, and 30-week inventory worth an estimated $210 million. Later, H&M plans to sell the Russian business confirmed in the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
