Henkel plant in Leningrad region will keep jobs after the company’s decision to leave the Russian Federation

The plant located in the Leningrad Region, which previously announced the sale of its business in Russia to the German company Henkel, is working according to its profile, no staff cuts are planned, said Dmitry Yalov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Leningrad Region for Economics and Investments.

“Henkel announced the sale of assets to a consortium of Russian investors, and this did not come as a surprise to us. The most important thing is that the enterprise in Tosno works according to its profile, no layoffs are announced, the entire staff has been saved. We plan to continue active work with the new owner and provide the necessary support measures so that the development of production continues. We expect that the transaction will be completed in the near future,” said Yalov, whose comment is given in the Telegram channel of the regional administration.

Earlier it became known that Henkel signed an agreement to sell your business in Russia to a consortium of local investors. The transaction amount is 600 million euros (54 billion rubles). The consortium, which will become the new owner of Henkel’s business in Russia, includes Augment Investments, Kismet Capital Group and Elbrus Services.
