The demand for specialists in the Russian oil and gas industry grew by 43% in January-August 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, according to a study by the HeadHunter service. 127.6 thousand vacancies were opened.
Most of the vacancies were opened in Moscow (9%), St. Petersburg (6%), Ufa (4%), Tyumen, Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk (3% each), reports TASS research data. Drivers (5%), locksmiths and machinists (4% each), design engineers, sales managers, welders, cashiers, salesmen (3% each), electricians, laborers, technologists, PTO engineers, labor protection engineers and turners (2% each). The most scarce specialists are turners, locksmiths, laborers, salesmen, machinists and electricians.
The average range of salaries offered in the industry is from 50,000 to 126,000 rubles. (in 2022 – from 44 thousand to 107 thousand rubles). Salaries above 150 thousand rubles. most often offered to welders, drivers, turners and machinists. The highest salaries are offered to applicants in the YaNAO (98–172 thousand rubles), in the Republic of Sakha (92–161 thousand rubles) and the Irkutsk region (75–162 thousand rubles).
