Grigorenko, Reshetnikov and Shadayev are among the candidates for the VTB Supervisory Board

The government nominated candidates for the VTB Supervisory Board. They were, including Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko, head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev and Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov. Disposition Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed on 16 February.
Other representatives of Russia have also been nominated as candidates for the Supervisory Board of the bank:
- Andrey Kostin – President-Chairman of the Board of VTB;
- Alexey Moiseev – Deputy Head of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation;
- Valery Sidorenko – First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The independent candidates included:
- Sergei Gavrilov – Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Property, Land and Property Relations;
- Veniamin Kaganov – General Director of the Association for the Development of Financial Literacy;
- Mikhail Oseevsky – President of Rostelecom;
- Stanislav Prokofiev – Rector of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation;
- Igor Repin is Deputy Executive Director of the Association of Professional Investors.
By data as of mid-2022, the controlling stake in VTB was owned by the Federal Property Management Agency (60.93%). Major shareholders as of the end of 2021 were the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (2.95%), Qatar Holding LLC (2.35%), NPF Otkritie (3.2%). Actual information about VTB shareholders is hidden due to Western sanctions against the bank.
VTB shareholders elected the supervisory board of the bank in June 2022, then the bank did not disclose the composition of the supervisory board, exercising the right not to publish this information, TASS notes.
