The titles of the new nominations are: “Best Alternative Jazz Album”, “Best Pop Dance Recording” and “Best African Musical Performance”.
The publication notes that this is done to expand the audience, including among fans of computer games and African Americans.
From the beginning of the “tenth” years, the audience stopped watching the award ceremony to the end, the duration of which was increased to 3 hours. The audience is tired of the same performers on stage for a decade in a row: Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Kendrick Lamar. And the host of the ceremony for the past three years is the same – the South American comedian Trevor Noah.
The organizers first reduced the number of nominations to 82 for greater entertainment, then increased it again to 91, adding new nominations, such as “Best Alternative Music Performance”, “Best Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media”. Now we have decided to add three more.
