Government extends moratorium on business inspections until 2023

The Russian government has decided to extend the regime for canceling scheduled business inspections until 2023. Inspections at facilities of extremely high and high risk categories will be carried out on the basis of special indicators, said press office cabinet.
It is noted that objects of high and extremely high risk include social, industrial facilities, as well as activities with a maximum or close to it level of risk of causing harm in the relevant area. Risk indicators imply the initiation of an inspection by the supervisory authorities in case of receipt of information about a violation of mandatory requirements.
The decree signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin also establishes the right to cancel a scheduled inspection if the supervisory authority had previously carried out a preventive visit to the facility.
March 2, Mr. Mishustin introduced a moratorium on scheduled inspections of individual entrepreneurs and small businesses in 2022. It entered into force on March 10 and did not cover cases where there are risks to the life and health of citizens. On September 7, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov announced that his office, together with the Ministry of Economy works over the abolition of most business inspections forever. October 3 government canceled auditing most of the business for 2023.
