Zemfira’s August concert canceled in Tashkent

The concert of the singer Zemfira (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent) was canceled in Tashkent. The performance was scheduled for August 24 at the Peoples’ Friendship Palace.

The singer herself reported on what happened in her telegram channel: “The concert in Tashkent will not take place.” She apologized for “announcing the concert prematurely”.

According to Zemfira, it was not possible to reach an agreement with the organizers. “We are sorry and hope to see you in the future,” the singer wrote.

Now the Ministry of Justice of Russia is considering the singer’s lawsuit demanding that she be removed from her status as a foreign agent. The application is expected to be considered on June 14.
