“Golden Lion” Venice Film Festival received a documentary film “All the beauty and bloodshed”

The American documentary All Beauty and Bloodshed won the Golden Lion Award for Best Film at the Venice Film Festival. The director of the picture is Laura Poitras (2022).
Other Film Festival Prizes:
- Italian director Luca Guadagnino won the Silver Lion for Best Director for Entirely and Completely (2022, Italy, USA);
- the French film Saint-Omer (Alice Diop, 2022) received a second Silver Lion award;
- Australian actress Cate Blanchett named best actress for her role in the film “Tar” (directed by Todd Field, 2022, USA);
- Irish actor Colin Farrell won Best Actor for his role in Banshee Inisherina (directed by Martin McDonagh, 2022, Ireland, UK, USA);
- The Special Jury Prize was awarded to the film Without Bears (2022) by imprisoned Iranian director Jafar Panahi.
The 79th Venice International Film Festival kicked off on August 31st. American actress Julianne Moore presided over the jury.
