Aleksey Malinin was elected President of the National Association of Television and Radio Broadcasters (NAT). He succeeded Eduard Sagalaev, who died in the middle of May. Mr. Malinin served as vice president of NAT for more than 20 years, since 2002, and now heads the subsidiary of VTsIOM VTsIOM-Media, which is the main owner of the Mediascope TV and Internet audience meter.
The National Association of TV and Radio Broadcasters is the largest Russian non-profit association of broadcasting corporations. It includes media holdings and TV channels. Mr. Sagalaev has been the founder of the association and its permanent head since 1995.
