The general director of the Tretyakov Gallery, Zelfira Tregulova, told the RBC television channel that all projects that the gallery had previously negotiated with partners from now unfriendly countries have not been cancelled. They seem to have been put on hold, Mrs. Tregulova said.
“And this gives hope that the moment will come when we could return to this kind of work,” said the general director of the Tretyakov Gallery (quoted by TASS).
At the end of 2021, Tretyakova announced plans for 2022. Then 19 exhibitions of different scales and genres were announced. In October 2021, 153,000 people visited the gallery, and 145,000 in November, Zelfira Tregulova said at the time.
