General Director of Perekrestok Kalmykov leaves his post

General Director of the Perekrestok retail chain Andrey Kalmykov is leaving his post. About it reports press service X5 Group (manages the Perekrestok network).

It is clarified that he will work on his own projects. X5 Group Chief Executive Officer Igor Shekhterman thanked Kalmykov “for his desire to immerse himself in retail, for searching for growth points to improve the efficiency of the network and X5 as a whole.”

Vladimir Salakhutdinov has been appointed acting general director of Perekrestok. Prior to this, he served as Director of Strategy and Business Development at X5 Group.

Andrey Kalmykov Was assigned to the post of general director of the retail chain in August 2022. It was noted that he has been managing large companies for more than 25 years. Prior to this appointment, Kalmykov held the position of General Director of Pobeda Airlines. Also over the years he worked as Deputy General Director “Aeroflot“, held a post in the Russian Ministry of Transport and headed the largest travel company “Sunrise tour”.

X5 Group operates stores of several retail chains, including Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Chizhik. As of the end of June, the number of stores managed by X5 was almost 22,700, including 956 Perekrestok supermarkets. The company has more than 358,000 employees.
