The company was founded in 1992, when Musa Motors became a dealer of the Swedish brand Volvo in the Russian Federation and opened the first showroom in Moscow. Two years later, Musa Motors became the first official representative of Land Rover and Jaguar. In 2003, the BMW and Mini brands appeared in the brand portfolio. For new brands, the BorisHof company was created within the Musa Motors group, the name is associated with the name of the founder Boris Teterev. In 2011, Musa Motors and BorisHof became part of the large international dealer Inchcape. In the spring of 2022, Inchcape left the Russian market and began the process of transferring the business to top management. On July 4, 2022, the company was renamed BorisHof Group of Companies.

According to SPARK, four top managers own BorisHof Holding LLC through separate companies: 30% each from CEO Timofey Geraskin and CFO Razvan Kreang, 20% each from COO Yevgeny Korolev and HR Director Marina Nikulina. All shares are pledged to Inchcape until full payment.

According to the results of 2022, BorisHof took the eighth place among the dealers of the Russian Federation in the Autobusiness Review rating with a revenue of 47.9 billion rubles.
