According to the company, supplies to domestic and foreign markets in January-June decreased by 26.5%, to 166 billion cubic meters. m of gas (in 2022 – 225.7 billion cubic meters). The report said the slowdown in economic activity in Europe contributed to keeping gas consumption levels low. “At the same time, the demand for Russian gas in this region was also influenced by the geopolitical factor and the high level of occupancy of European UGS (underground gas storage facilities.— “Ъ”),” the company added.
Gazprom explained the decrease in gas production by the fact that “politically motivated decisions” were made in “a number of countries” to refuse imports of Russian gas. The increase in oil production, according to the report, is associated with the construction and commissioning of new wells. Another growth factor was the implementation of the project for the development of the 2nd, 4th and 5th sections with Achimov deposits at the Urengoyskoye field.
