Gazprombank announced plans to build a road bypassing Balakhna

The construction of a motorway bypassing Balakhna and Zavolzhye may become a pilot project within the framework of cooperation between Gazprombank, BTS-MOST Group of Companies and the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The relevant initiative has been submitted to the regional government for consideration, the press service of Gazprombank said.
We are talking about the creation of a two-lane highway R-152 “Shopsha – Ivanovo – Nizhny Novgorod”, which will bypass Balakhna and the Volga region. Gazprombank notes that the new route will relieve the existing section of the R-152 road. The length of the highway will be 24 km, and the cost of the initiative is estimated at 23 billion rubles.
It is reported that Gazprombank will become the creditor of the project, and will also provide financial consulting and banking support services. A specially created project company will act as a concessionaire.
Previously Gazprombank and the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region signed an agreement on the creation of infrastructure in the region. The construction of the highway can become a pilot project within the framework of this cooperation, the credit organization stressed.
Before Gazprombank already participated in the construction of a bridge across the Ob in Novosibirsk, the Purovsky bridge on Yamal, the Syktyvkar-Naryan-Mar highway, etc.
