Gazprom reduced gas transit through Ukraine by 23%

Since May 2022, Ukraine has stopped accepting gas for transit through the GIS “Sokhrovka”. The reason, according to the Ukrainian authorities, is that it is located on the territory of the LPR under the control of Russia.

At the same time, gas reserves in underground storage facilities (UGS) in Europe remain record-breaking for the winter period. As of January 17, they account for 80.59%, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) data. Such figures are explained by warm weather.
