Gazprom is consistently increasing supplies via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline to China, CEO Alexei Miller said during a conference call on the Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers. According to him, this year the record of daily gas supplies to China in excess of contractual obligations has been repeatedly updated. Mr. Miller said that by the end of the year, Power of Siberia would be connected to the Kovykta gas condensate field in the Irkutsk region.

He recalled that another contract was signed with China for the supply of gas via the Far East route. He also recalled the Soyuz Vostok project, a main gas pipeline through Mongolia, which will become a continuation of the Power of Siberia 2 main gas pipeline.

Gazprom and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) signed the first agreement on the main conditions for the supply of Russian gas from the Russian Far East to China in 2019, and they began to be implemented in 2019.
