The Mediaslovo studio entered into a first look deal format deal (giving the right to the first selection of projects) with Gazprom-Media Entertainment Television (GPM RTV; unites TNT, Pyatnitsa, TV-3, etc.), Kommersant told representative of the company. Under the terms of the GPM RTV agreement (MOEX: GAZP) will also receive the exclusive right to show the studio’s projects on television, Mediaslovo itself will produce projects for the Premier platform.

“In the case of the production of new series by Mediaslovo for external platforms, GPM RTV becomes a co-producer of these projects. The contract was concluded for five years, during which “Mediaslovo” undertakes to offer at least ten projects annually,” the RTV GPM clarified.

Mediaslovo was founded in 2017 by former general producer of NTV Danila Sharapov and film producer Pyotr Anurov. The company made series for major TV channels (“Magomaev” for Channel One, “Filatov” for STS, “Dead Lake” for TNT, etc.), and at the beginning of 2020 it entered into a deal with Yandex. In 2021, Mediaslovo terminated it ahead of schedule and entered into a similar three-year deal with the online cinema Okko.
