Gazprom is asking to index by 10% tariffs for gas transportation through gas distribution networks (GDS) from December 1, 2023. This was stated on November 8 during a meeting of the federal gasification headquarters chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, the general director of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz ( subsidiary of Gazprom) Sergei Gustov.

The top manager noted that for the majority of gas distribution organizations (GRO; they own gas distribution stations in the regions and ensure gas supplies to consumers), gas transportation tariffs are expected to increase from July 1, 2024. Gustov explained the need for an additional increase in the cost of transportation by the “large number” of new networks commissioned gasification and additional gasification program. “I ask you to consider the possibility of indexing GRO tariffs, including from December 1, 2023,” he said (quoted by TASS).
