With own production in 2022 of 1.55 million tons, another 1.94 million tons were imported from abroad. The main importers are Moldova (30% share), Serbia (18%), Turkey (16%), etc. The food security doctrine provides for self-sufficiency in fruits and berries at the level of 60%.
