Gangsta’s Paradise rapper Coolio dies

Rapper Coolio (Artis Leon Ivey Jr.), who performed Gangsta’s Paradise with rapper LV (Larry Sanders), died Wednesday at the age of 59. This was reported by the TMZ portal with reference to the artist’s manager.

Probably, the cause of death of the artist was cardiac arrest. But an autopsy will establish a more precise cause.

Coolio became famous as a performer of the song Gangsta’s Paradise, which became the soundtrack to the film Dangerous Minds (1995). The picture was nominated for an MTV channel award in the Best Song category.
