It was assumed that the action will surpass in scale the one organized ten years earlier for the director’s 90th birthday. As a result, almost 400 people took part in the festive round dance today, which became a new record. Responses have already appeared in social networks: “Round dance – as many as 4 large circles! Personally, I was pleased that even schoolchildren sang songs from Gaidai’s films and repeated famous quotes. In general, the atmosphere was very warm and friendly.”
An interactive exhibition “Director Gaidai. How did he do it? Exhibits for her were collected all over Russia. The granddaughter of the famous director and actress Nina Grebeshkova, Olga Khudyakova, flew to Irkutsk for the second time from Moscow. She became one of the first honorary visitors of the exhibition and noted: “Leonid Iovich would definitely like it, I am very touched.” “Here you can feel all the magic of cinema and its inner cuisine. The exhibition is dedicated to the professional method of director Gaidai and will guide visitors through all the stages of creating his film masterpieces, from script to storyboard, from casting to selection of costumes and props, from filming and editing to sound, and then through artistic advice and propaganda to the premiere. Everyone who wants to unravel the code of the master of comedy will have such an opportunity, said the head of the Leonid Gaidai Center for the Development of Cinematography, director, producer Yuri Yashnikov.
Everyone can visit Gaidai’s virtual museum, the first in our country. The Gaidai-dictation “Slow down, I’m writing down”, dedicated to the contribution of Leonid Iovich to the development of the Russian language, will be held on February 11 from 10.00 to 12.00 Moscow time at the Fire Center for Contemporary Art.
