Fuel prices at Russian gas stations have fallen for the first time since spring

The cost of gasoline and diesel fuel at Russian gas stations for the week from September 25 to October 1 decreased for the first time since the spring of this year, according to Rosstat data. Gasoline of all grades fell in price for the first time since March 6, and diesel – since May 10. According to Rosstat, a liter of AI-92 gasoline fell in price in the country over the week by 0.4% to 51.41 rubles, AI-95 – by 0.5% to 56.16 rubles. The price of diesel fuel decreased by only 0.1% to 64.9 rubles/liter. Last week, Rosstat recorded an increase in the price of diesel fuel in the country by an average of 1.7%, gasoline increased by 0.5%.
In Moscow, retail fuel prices also went down over the last week: diesel fuel and AI-92 fell in price by 0.5% to 62.07 rubles/l and 50.68 rubles/l, respectively, AI-95 – by 0.6 % up to 56.16 rub./l. The Moscow Fuel Association previously reported this. Diesel fuel became cheaper both at gas stations of large oil companies and in independent gas stations. Several companies – Gazprom Neft, Teboil (former Shell gas stations, which were bought by Lukoil) and Trans AZS – kept prices at the previous week’s level for all types of fuel.
