French Publicis reported organic revenue growth of 5.3% – Kommersant

Today, October 12, the French Publicis – the largest advertising company in the world by market capitalization – presented third quarter reporting. Third-quarter results exceeded expectations: organic net revenue growth – that is, the company’s results excluding mergers, acquisitions or sales – was 5.3%, reaching €3.2 billion. Analysts had expected growth of 3.6%. For the year as a whole, Publicis forecast organic net revenue to grow 5.5% to 6%.
Publicis CEO Arthur Sadoun noted that the company was able to achieve quarterly growth “despite the fact that the macroeconomic environment has become more difficult.” Recently, advertising companies around the world have been going through difficult times, due in particular to macroeconomic instability, when many corporations are cutting advertising budgets.
Arthur Sadoun noted that Publicis was able to achieve good results primarily due to the diversification of services, increasing market share, as well as good demand for marketing digital services from Epsilon, a member of the group. The company’s revenue for the quarter grew by 10.5%. Other advertising and communications agencies included in Publicis include Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, Zenith.
