French actress Hélène Darras has accused Gerard Depardieu of sexual harassment, the Paris prosecutor’s office told AFP. The actress claims that the incident occurred in 2007 on the set of the film “Disco”. The agency noted that the actress’s application will likely be rejected due to the statute of limitations of the crime.

Ms Darras told AFP it took her a year to move from reporting the incident in the media to trial. “Walking into a police station and telling an officer that someone touched your private parts is not easy, you need time to think about it,” she said.

Earlier in an interview with France 2, the actress said that the actor ran his hand over her thighs and buttocks, and then asked if she wanted to go to his dressing room. The actress said that she refused Mr. Depardieu, but he did not stop touching her between takes. Ms. Darras told the agency she “couldn’t care less” about the statute of limitations on the crime.

In 2018, French actress Charlotte Arnault accused the actor of rape and sexual harassment. The case is pending in court. In April 2023, the French publication Mediapart published testimonies from 13 women who accused Gerard Depardieu of sexual harassment committed between 2004 and 2022.
