In early February, a new romantic comedy “Free Relations” directed by Dmitry Nevzorov will appear in all cinemas of the country. The main roles in it are played by Boris Dergachev, Aglaya Tarasova and Ilya Sobolev.
The picture tells about two completely opposite people in character – Ilona (Aglaya Tarasova) and Artem (Boris Dergachev), who by chance met in a bar in St. Petersburg and spent the night together. The unexpected pregnancy of the heroine led to the creation of an unplanned family. Seven years have passed and the couple understands that life under one roof has become routine and boring, life has come to the fore, and there is no joy in their lives. But there is a son, and for his sake, hoping to save the family, the heroes agree to provide each other with a territory of freedom, upon entering which a completely unexpected discovery awaits them.
“We tried to shoot a subtle, kind and funny story,” says director Dmitry Nevzorov. — in fact, this is not just a story about an open relationship, this is a story about saving a family. People living together for a long time sometimes lose their sense of happiness, although they are not going to destroy the marriage itself. I like it when after watching a movie there is a pleasant “aftertaste”. I really hope that our film will be just like that.
Boris Dergachev believes that the idea of the picture is that marriage does not tolerate a one-sided view of the family and the situation.
“Relationships,” says Sergey Dergachev, “are not real estate, but a living organism, which we ourselves often harm. It is very important at some point to start taking care of him. It was because of this picture that I first drove to St. Petersburg, and finally fell in love with this city.
The director, as well as the screenwriter, by the way, is Dmitry Nevzorov, for whom the picture became a full-length debut.
