Four gas leaks have been found on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, the Swedish Coast Guard said. Two of them are in the Swedish economic zone. Svenska Dagbladet. The Swedish government has previously reported three gas leaks.
On September 26, pressure dropped sharply at Nord Stream. Leaks were found on three threads. European and Russian authorities suggest that this happened as a result of sabotage. The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation regarded the incident as “an act of international terrorism.” Moscow called an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.
Both gas pipelines were filled with technical gas. Gas supply via Nord Stream was suspended in September due to difficulties for Gazprom with equipment maintenance, which arose due to restrictions. Nord Stream 2 was never put into operation due to sanctions.
