Four former top managers of Twitter filed a lawsuit against Musk for $128 million – Kommersant

Four former top managers of the social network Twitter (renamed X), including the company’s ex-CEO Parag Agrawal, are demanding through a federal court in California that the owner of X, Elon Musk, pay $128 million in severance pay, the agency reports. The plaintiffs allege that Mr. Musk publicly promised not to pay them severance after his dismissal in order to recoup about $200 million from the $44 billion purchase of Twitter. “Under Musk’s control, Twitter has become a criminal who defrauds employees, landlords, suppliers and others. “Musk doesn’t pay his bills, believes the rules don’t apply to him, and uses his wealth and power to grossly deceive everyone who disagrees with him,” the top managers say in the lawsuit.

Elon Musk became the owner of Twitter on October 27, 2022. Immediately after acquiring the company, the billionaire fired several top managers of the social network, including Mr. Agrawal, director Ned Segal, director of legal and political affairs Vijay Gadde and head of the legal department Sean Edgett.

April 11, 2023 dismissed top managers filed a lawsuit against Twitter demanding to pay them more than $1 million. According to the plaintiffs, this is how much they had to spend participating in legal proceedings against the company and answering questions from regulators as part of investigations after their dismissal.
