Formula Kino filed a lawsuit against Cinema Park for 857 million rubles - Kommersant

The Moscow Arbitration Court accepted the claim of the Formula Kino company against Cinema Park. According to materials court, the plaintiff asks to recover 857 million rubles from the defendant. Both companies jointly manage the United Cinema Network Formula Kino/Cinema Park cinema chain.

The grounds for filing the claim and the amount of the claims have not yet been disclosed. Formula Kino’s application was accepted for production on February 5, the first hearing in the case will take place on April 11.

In December 2023, Cinema Park itself filed in the capital’s arbitration court a claim against Formula Kino due to changes in the terms of the contract (other details of the claim are not disclosed). The next hearing in this case is scheduled for February 26. Whether these two cases are related is not specified.

The Cinema Park and Formula Kino cinema chain is the largest cinema operator in Russia. The cinema chain includes 74 cinemas in 29 cities of Russia. Until September 2022, both cinema chains operating under the United Cinema Network Formula Kino/Cinema Park brand were owned by businessman Alexander Mamut.
