Former top managers of Twitter demanded more than $1 million in compensation from the company

Three former Twitter executives filed on Monday lawsuit to the Delaware Administrative Court demanding that the company pay them more than $1 million. According to the plaintiffs, this is how much they had to spend participating in legal proceedings against the company and answering questions from regulators as part of the investigations.
The plaintiffs against Twitter are former CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, director of legal and political affairs Vijaya Gadde. All of them were fired last October, the same day that Twitter was bought out by Elon Musk.
The lawsuit alleges that former executives had to answer questions from the US Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission even after they were fired from the company. All this resulted in additional legal costs, which they had to pay out of their own pocket. The plaintiffs state that they applied to Mr. Musk with a request to compensate them for legal costs more than two months ago, but have not received a response. The plaintiffs believe that in this way Twitter “violated agreements with employees and violated the charter” of the company.
