Elena Brusilova left the post of president of the Medsi group of companies, which she held for the last nine years. She is moving “to a new project,” but will remain on the group’s board of directors, Medsi reported. By decision of the board of directors, Andrey Sokolov, the former financial director of the Pyaterochka chain, part of the X5 Group, was appointed acting president of Medsi. In addition to X5, he worked in senior positions at TNK-BP, which was acquired by Rosneft in 2013.

Medsi Group of Companies includes 145 clinics throughout Russia, including 65 centers in Moscow and the Moscow region. According to Forbes, in 2022 Medsi topped the rating of private multidisciplinary clinics with revenue of 36 billion rubles. The controlling shareholder of Medsi is AFK Sistema.

“I received an interesting offer to continue my career and decided to try my hand at a new field,” Elena Brusilova’s words are quoted in the message.

Mr. Sokolov will focus on the further development of the network of clinics in Russia and new markets of the CIS countries. As Kommersant reported, Medsi registered a subsidiary in Kyrgyzstan in the first half of 2023, and was also interested in purchasing at least one of the 18 clinics of the Mediker Healthcare network from Kazakhstan.
