Russian musician, former member of the groups “Time Machine” and “Earthlings” Yuri Ilchenko has passed away. Journalist Vladislav Bachurov reported this on his Telegram channel.

Ilchenko was 70 years old. The cause of death has not been announced.

Ilchenko was born in Rostov-on-Don in 1951, and moved with his family to Leningrad as a child. He was considered one of the best blues vocalists and guitarists in Russia. He also performed as part of one of the oldest Russian rock bands – the Leningrad group “Myths”, as well as as part of Bari Alibasov’s “Integral” group.

In addition, Ilchenko was a writer. Under the pseudonym Sedov B.K., he wrote a series of books “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”, “The Witch Doctor” and “The Thieves’ Chanson”.
