Former deputy chairman of Gazprom Valery Golubev declared bankrupt - Kommersant

The Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region recognized the former deputy chairman of Gazprom (MOEX: GAZP) Valeria Golubev is bankrupt, it follows from the judicial card indexes.

Mr. Golubev filed for bankruptcy on December 26, 2023. The amount of claims is 729 million rubles. The court scheduled consideration of the report on the results of the sale of the plaintiff’s property for July 4.

71-year-old Valery Golubev was born in Leningrad. Since 1979 he served in the KGB of the USSR. In 1991 he went to work in the administration of St. Petersburg. In 2002, he was elected representative of the Leningrad region in the Federation Council.

In February 2003, Mr. Golubev was appointed general director of Gazkomplektimpex LLC and joined the board of Gazprom. In December 2005, he became Chairman of the Board of Directors of CJSC Gazpromstroyengineering. In November 2006, Mr. Golubev was appointed deputy chairman of the board of Gazprom.

At Gazprom, Valery Golubev was involved in the domestic gas market, gasification, and partly interaction with the CIS countries, primarily with Belarus. In February 2019 the company released Mr. Golubev from office.
