“Forgot God”: Berezin named the reason for Kungurov’s suicide

The news of the sudden death of Evgeny Kungurov shocked representatives of show business. The famous singer decided to take his own life. The legendary presenter Vladimir Berezin was close friends with Kungurov. Vladimir Aleksandrovich shared his thoughts about what prompted him to die with MK.

“Zhenya, like many talented people, was a person with a very finely organized nervous system,” says Vladimir Alexandrovich. “He sometimes reminded me of a little child.” Zhenya was sensitive to his work, to his successes and failures too. We often crossed paths at concerts and filming. At the beginning of his career, he suffered greatly because he did not succeed the way he wanted. I always told him: “Zhenya, if you are a believer, you must accept everything that exists at the moment. Because God knows everything.” Zhenya was a believer. And today I, a sinner, suddenly say to myself: “Zhen, dear, how could you? After all, this is what people do who have forgotten God. And you and I talked about him so often.”

“I really sympathize with his parents: I know them, I sympathize with his children,” sighs Vladimir Alexandrovich. – Zhenya loved his son so much! And how he loved his daughter! When she was born, he called everyone and said: “Congratulate me, congratulate me!” …I can’t imagine how he could allow himself to be brought to such a state as to do such a thing.

In show business they say that Kungurov has recently had a difficult relationship with his wife.

“She wanted a divorce, but he didn’t want to, because he loved children,” continues Vladimir Alexandrovich. “I didn’t want to destroy the family.” Lately, as we say, Zhenya was already in the mix: he was in demand. That is, I didn’t worry about my profession. Zhenya achieved everything he dreamed of. I congratulated him on his title not so long ago, he was bursting with happiness, he was so happy! And there was a problem in family life: the wife wanted to get a divorce. And this inconsistency upset him very much. And it could, in my opinion, serve as some reason for such a state.
